By Tom, on January 5th, 2011% After upgrading my ESXi 3.5 host to ESXi 4.1 using the Update Manager, HA configuration kept failing.
I would get an error saying: A general system error occurred: Invalid fault.
I tried all the basic things like checking all the VMs to make sure VMware tools were not mounted on any machines. They were not.

I did have one problem that I wanted to share in case it happens to someone else.
After creating the image, installing Anti-virus and all Windows updates, I sysprepped the . . . → Read More: Create a Windows Server 2008R2 Template for ESXi 3.5
By Tom, on November 11th, 2010% This is my first post on VirtualCitizen.org, I hope it to be the first of many talking about my experiences and lessons learned as a System Admin for a large enterprise. My main focus will be on Virtualization, Storage and Scripting with a few other things thrown in.
